Revit cannot open .ADSK files?????? Dodgers win??

If you love something let it go, and if it comes back than it was meant to be.

I should have remembered this sooner.

All day long I was trying to figure out why when I was using Inventor AEC exchange to take to Revit, Revit would say:

"Revit cannot open .ADSK files that contain the building site workflow."
And then it would ask me if I want to see the report and it looked perfectly fine.

So finally I contacted my Autodesk rep and he asked Rob Cohee, I owe Rob one.
Quickly he responded and said that you need to have the update for Revit
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=12828862)
and the hotfix for Inventor
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=13105818&linkID=9242019.

If I would have simply let it go from the beginning I would have stopped myself from so much headache trying to fit in work, doctor's appointment, and a Dodgers Giants game in SF (Dodgers won btw 4-2, and did I mention I'm a Dodger fan?) all in one day. Luckily it came back and I had my answer.

So note to self, you don't know everything, none of us do, never forget to use all your resources. stop relying so much on ONLY Internet answers. I know, kind of ironic that I expect you to read this and then I'm telling you to not be afraid to ask for help elsewhere, but it's true.
